Patrick Ney

 Patrick has over 20 years of experience in the ski industry and is a graduate of the Ski Resort Operations and Management program at Selkirk College. He brings proven expertise in lift, grooming, and snowmaking maintenance along with strong managerial skills that drive safe, efficient, and guest-focused operations. Recognized for professionalism and leadership, Patrick combines deep technical insight with strategic oversight to enhance resort performance and advance best practices across all facets of mountain operations. 

Matt has over eight years of experience in the ski industry and brings a strong technical background that makes him a valuable asset to any mountain operation. Skilled in snowmaking, grooming, and certified as an SLM-B, he combines hands-on expertise with advanced digital and technical knowledge of ski operations. A lifelong snowboarder, Matt pairs his passion for the sport with a deep understanding of the equipment and systems that keep resorts running safely and efficiently.

Kyle is an SLM-T with a strong mechanical background and broad experience in both outdoor and indoor ski operations. He has worked extensively in snowmaking and grooming and has also managed a rental shop, giving him a well-rounded perspective on resort logistics and guest services. Committed to advancing his expertise, Kyle plans to write his SLM-B certification this spring, further strengthening his ability to support safe and efficient mountain operations.

Sam is an SLM-B with over a decade of experience in the ski industry and a strong mechanical aptitude developed through extensive work with fixed-grip chairlifts, grooming operations, and groomer maintenance. She has also held managerial roles, demonstrating leadership and a deep commitment to safe, efficient mountain operations. Notably, Sam is only the third woman in Ontario to earn the SLM-B certification, a distinction that highlights her expertise and dedication to the field.

Gabby began her ski industry career as a ski instructor and has since gained broad technical experience as an apprentice, completing two lift audits and preparing to write her SLM-B certification. She has worked extensively with rigging specialists, developing advanced skills and a strong understanding of lift and mountain operations. Combining her instructional background with a growing expertise in mechanical and rigging work, Gabby brings a versatile and safety-focused approach to every aspect of ski resort operations.

Terri is the Chief Administration Officer for Ski-Nye, ensuring that the entire team is well supported and operations run smoothly. A registered dietitian with the local family health team, she brings strong organizational and people-focused skills to her role. Terri's passion for skiing began when she met her future husband, Patrick, and she now enjoys sharing the slopes with their family—an experience that deepens her appreciation for the hard work and dedication behind safe, well-managed ski operations.
